One script, wherever your website lives

Add the script high in the document head, then use the workspace to verify installation. These examples show placement; your workspace gives you the real site key.

Plain HTML

Put the script immediately after the opening head tag, before analytics or marketing scripts.

<script src="https://hopcookie.com/s/YOUR_SITE_KEY.js"></script>

Laravel

Add it to the shared Blade layout that renders your head, before Vite and third-party tags. The banner works on every page using that layout.

WordPress

Place the script in the head of your child theme, before wp_head() and other tag output. No plugin is required. Check the placement after theme updates.

Google Tag Manager

Load HopCookie before your GTM container. The script sends Google Consent Mode defaults and updates. Configure GTM tags to require the consent types they need; a consent signal alone does not stop every custom tag.

  1. Install the HopCookie script first in the head.
  2. Keep the GTM container after it and configure each tag's consent settings.
  3. Test the page before a choice, after rejection and after acceptance.

Folders and subdomains

You can add a folder as its own website entry and scan only that path. Subdomains can be independent entries or share a verified site's consent settings.

Replace YOUR_SITE_KEY with the key in your website's Installation page.
